Founded in 1992 by Mike Kavanaugh, MK Marketing continues to provide the highest level of service to our dealers by sharing proven traffic building ideas, educating store salespeople on the benefits of MK Marketing lines, and responding quickly to the needs of both principals and dealers alike.
At MK Marketing, we pride ourselves on the ability to intrinsically know our market and to serve the special needs of our customers. Our flawless teamwork and earnest footwork in the areas of product/client matching enables MK Marketing to retain a notable reputation in the consumer electronics industry. Consistent attendance of manufacturer’s training seminars, by both our inside and outside sales teams enables us to remain current with the industry’s evolution; thus providing our dealers with accurate and efficient support.
Our full-time office staff and sales team are available to support our dealers with product availability, pricing, literature, and order shipping information, as well as troubleshooting in the preliminary and final stages of a dealer/client install.
We pride ourselves on integrity, patience and follow through in an industry that is ever changing. As a manufacturers’ rep firm, our goal is to provide quality assistance in the sale of the products we support, and believe are the best in their respective categories. We strive to align ourselves with the “best in class” manufacturers whose market planning, direction and customer service goals parallel our own.
Our Territory
MK Marketing’s territory includes Southern California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada (Clark County only). Our Irvine, California office is conveniently located for easy access from local freeways and Toll Roads.

- Mike Kavanaugh, President, brings thirty years experience in the consumer electronics field. Beginning on the sales floor of a local retail chain and continuing as an Assistant Audio Buyer for a major retail chain. Further opportunity provided Mike a Sales Representative position in a firm offering twelve well-known consumer electronics lines. Rounding out this experience he was a Regional Sales Manager for a major manufacturer with twenty-five states and eight rep firms in his territory. Mike has guided MK Marketing into a successful representation of quality lines with a complementary sister company, A/V Products, to meet immediate product needs of his dealers.

- Mike Cleary, Sales Rep, joined MK Marketing in 2005. Mike brought with him 3 years of consumer electronics rep experience when he joined our company. Our dealers count on Mike’s strong technical, communication and organizational skills to help them to bid and complete jobs both effectively and profitably. As a result of Mike’s many professional strengths his dealer and manufacturer relationships are second to none.

- Kaye Allison, Customer Service; includes order entry, order status, new dealer accounts, rep support, list maintenance. Kaye also creates vendor specific newsletters emailed to communicate to our dealer base timely updates on product/promo/programs.

- John McCauley, A/V Products Warehouse Manager, John’s responsibilities include inventory management, warehouse organization and excellent customer service. John’s extensive knowledge of the industry and his can do attitude give him the ability to wear many hats for A/V Products and MK Marketing.
- Daniel Thompson

- Daniel Thompson, Senior Sales Rep, joined the MK Marketing team sixteen years ago. Danny’s previous ten years experience in the car audio division of consumer electronics brought valuable skills and creative ideas to MK Marketing. Through his years of growth with MK Marketing, he has emerged as an effective and gifted sales rep with a very strong technical background in both audio and video. Danny has developed solid relationships with his dealer base and continues to provide unabated attention to both the dealers and manufacturers we represent.

- Debra Kavanaugh has been with MK Marketing since its inception. She aptly provides the services necessary in the area of payroll as well as support to the office staff.

- Kim Buck, Inside Sales, has a distinct knowledge of the industry rendering her efficient in all areas of the audio video business including new dealer accounts, customer service, order entry, rep support, sales reports and accounting.
